Cutrer graduated with a 4.0 from the University of Kentucky in Lexington with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a minor in Photography. There, she served as Editor-in-Chief for the student media outlet, the Kentucky Kernel, and was a photographer for the lifestyle and fashion magazine KRNL. She has worked with The Tennessean in Nashville as a reporting and photo intern, as well as a freelancer. Her work has been featured in USA Today, The Tennessean, Sports Illustrated, The Lexington Herald-Leader, The Kentucky Lantern, The Courier-Journal, The Commercial Appeal and more.
