Ed Kashi a 2025 winner of the Bob and Millie Lynn Grant

Ed Kashi is a renowned American photojournalist, filmmaker, educator, and speaker known for his compassionate and intimate documentation of social and political issues worldwide. A member of the VII Photo Agency, Kashi is recognized for his pioneering use of new media and has produced numerous books, films, and exhibits that explore complex themes like oil in the Niger Delta and aging in America.

NPPF Network Spotlight: Vincent Alban

Vincent Alban is now a photojournalist for The New York Times and a member of the 2025-26 Times Fellowship class, a program for journalists early in their careers. Raised in upstate New York, Vincent Alban studied photojournalism at the Rochester Institute of Technology, influenced by a family background in art and local journalism. He has interned at The Baltimore Sun, The Boston Globe, and The Chicago Tribune, covering issues such as gun violence, wrongful convictions, and the 2024 presidential campaign. His work has been recognized by Pictures of the Year, College Photographer of the Year, the White House News Photographer’s Association, the Alexia Foundation, and the National Press Photographers Association.

We offer 12 annual scholarships for college students, several grants for early to mid-career video journalists to attend workshops, and major grants for visual journalists working on in-depth stories.
