Mark Felix

My name is Mark Felix and I’m a full-time editorial and commercial photographer that is especially interested in photographing where climate and culture collide.

Growing up in the heart of the flyover states (Indiana), I’m currently based in Houston, Texas.

I’ve been commissioned to do work for The New York Times, HBO, Nike, The Wall Street Journal, CNN, Airbnb, The Washington Post, NPR, Bloomberg Businessweek, AFP, Buzzfeed News and Paper Magazine among other clients.

In 2019, I was the recipient of a National Geographic Early Career grant and in 2020 I was the recipient of the Bob Lynn grant funded through the National Press Photographers Foundation. In 2024, I worked on projects that received an Edward R. Murrow award as well as the Pulitzer Prize for national reporting.

I’m also a FAA Part 107 licensed drone pilot.
